A Photographic Monograph
‘M62: The Trans-Pennine Motorway’ by Kevin Crooks contains a series of black and white images which capture the solemn, detailed, expansive and manufactured aspects of the landscape in which the M62 motorway is situated.
The images within the book are accompanied by poetic phrases from John Davies, a Church of England Vicar who wrote a biographical account of a Trans-Pennine Journey that he documented titled ‘Walking the M62’. The book also includes illustrations from Tonwen Jones.
Kevin Crooks is St. Helens based artist who won the Deutsche Bank Award for Creative Enterprise in 2016 after completing an MA in Photography at the University of Central Lancashire.
