Meet outside Salford Central Station, New Bailey Street

Inspired by our 2023 book GMC21 , which looked at Manchester's 21st century architecture, we are holding a series of summer evening walks focussing on individual architectural practises body of work and led by an architect from the relevant firm.

First up we shall be looking at the residential work done by Buttress architects around the Chapel Street area of Salford. Projects we shall visit include the multi award winning Timekeepers Sq as well as Carpino Place, Atelier, Valette Sq and Greenhaus.

The walk shall be led by Andy Avery who heads up the residential and regeneration team at Buttress.

This is a unique opportunity to not only see some good contemporary architecture but hear about the background and rationale for the projects.
