the modernist x Admiral Sporting Goods Co. - San Siro t-shirt

 

We are very happy to have teamed up with Admiral Sporting Goods Co. to present a special limited edition t-shirt.

Admiral asked us to design a t-shirt that celebrated of the world's most beautiful football stadiums. Eddy's nomination for Turf Moor in Burnley was cruelly over-ruled and he begrudgingly had to admit that Milan's San Siro was perhaps a more fitting subject. It is also fitting, with the recent announcement that the San Siro is due to be demolished. 

We asked Craig Johnson to come with a design that not only celebrated the fabulous stadium itself, but give reference to Italian modernist design, Admiral's sporting heritage and classic football designs.

The front print is a nod to the Mexico 70 World Cup logo and also the classic 'Telstar' ball - developed in 1962 by Eigil Nielsen.

The back print is a bold and dynamic image of the stadium with a distinctly Italian twist on both The Modernist Society and Admiral names. 

Admiral t-shirts are made from very high quality 220gsm heavy cotton jersey and are produced in Portugal. They feature ‘set in’ sleeves that have been cut and sewn separately to provide a much smoother and more comfortable fit. These are very nice t-shirts and these ones are in a natural off-white colour.
