Got an idea for an exhibition?

We run a programme of rolling exhibitions at our small city centre gallery and we'd like to hear from you if you have an idea for / or existing work to show. We are interested in hearing from artists, collectors, creatives and collaborators working with any medium.

Criteria:

• Submissions must celebrate and engage with 20th Century architecture and design  
  
• Artwork can be in any suitable visual media including but not limited to photography, painting, print, illustration, graphic design
• Not all submissions will be selected
  
• Chosen individuals/groups will have the use of our small gallery space located at our Manchester shop to show work. See the gallery plan here
• Possibility for tie in talk/ workshop etc
• Exhibitions run for a duration of two months
• We cannot pay artists for their travel, time or work, however work can be for sale.
  

How to make a submission:

Email subs@modernist-society.org with the subject heading, Exhibition Submission

• Your name and contact details
  
• A short introduction about yourself/group 500 characters
  
• A description of the artwork/s or idea you wish to exhibit 1000 characters 
  
• Links to relevant websites if applicable
  
• The size and medium of the art work/s 
  
• Display requirements e.g. fixings, access to mains etc
  
• Send images of your work as a jpeg or similar
  
• For digital or video work please send a link, no files sent will be accepted
  
• Tell us if you would like your art work to be for sale and the price of the work
  
• Please note we will add VAT on top of the wholesale/artist price and will take a 30% gallery commission of the artist price on any sales. Work will be held on consignment.
