Modernist Churches of Leeds by Ruby Beard

Ruby is currently undertaking an MA in Graphic Design and Art Direction at Manchester Metropolitan University. She came to our attention when she was runner up in a ‘ Creativity in Lockdown’ competition ran by our Leeds chapter.

We asked Ruby if she had anything we would be interested in and she already had her Modernist Churches in Leeds project well advanced so we are very happy to bring it to you now.

It fits nicely alongside our last release ‘ Suburban Archetypes’ which looked at Sheffield Modernist Churches. Its our mini series ‘Yorkshire Ecclesiastical’

Ruby shoots in Black and White and, as a book designer, she has obviously designed this release herself too. This is lovely addition to our growing photo book series and an essential study of the Modernist Churches of Leeds.
