New Street Signal Box - print
We continue our series of Transport Infrastructure stuff..
We boarded a bus at Preston Bus Station, had a comfort break at Forton Services and now we have arrived in Birmingham where we celebrate the beautiful New Street Signal Box.
Opened in 1964, the architects were Bicknell and Hamilton in collaboration with R L Moorcraft the Regional Architect of the London Midland Region. It certainly demands attention and its distinctive elevation will be recognisable to rail enthusiasts and Brutalist fans alike.
