GMC21 - The Walk Series - OMI Architects

Inspired by our 2023 book GMC21 , which looked at Manchester's 21st century architecture, we are holding a series of summer evening walks focussing on individual architectural practises body of work and led by an architect from the relevant firm.
The third walk is looking at the recent work of OMI Architects - a multi award winning practise who were formed in the early 1990's. As well a new build and retrofitting OMI have worked on many heritage buildings too. We shall see the full range of their work - from the large apartment blocks of Greengate to Dukes 92 in Castlefield. The walk will be led by Phillip Etchells - Associate Director of OMI Architects

This is a unique opportunity to not only see some good contemporary architecture but hear about the background and rationale for the projects.

NB: Walk will be approximately 2 hours in length - this is an outdoor event and is at the mercy of the weather, please dress accordingly, and take extra care with road traffic and all those other on street hazards!
