5.45PM FOR A 6PM START

National Trust Castlefield Viaduct, Manchester, M3 4LG

To coincide with our current exhibition Hulme Habitats we are very happy to be hosting an event with artist Emma Coop, who will talk about her work centred around Hulme and green space. Joining her will be renowned photographer Richard Davis who has been documenting Hulme and its inhabitants since the mid 1980's. Along with this we shall be joined by Lucy Marshall, an Associate at the landscape architects CW Studio.

Both Emma and Richard will give presentations about how Hulme has informed their work and then we have a panel discussion and Q&A about all things Hulme and modernist landscapes.

The night will be held in the events space located at the far end of the National Trust Castlefield Viaduct and there will also be a presentation from Jenny Ferguson from BDP architects. BDP have been responsible for the current transformation of the viaduct and Jenny, a Landscape Architect Associate from BDP, will reveal what future plans they and the National Trust have for the rest of the viaduct.

This event will be of interest to all of you with a passion for Hulme and / or modernist landscaping.

Tickets are £5 full price and £4 concessions

How to get there: Make your way to Deansgate-Castlefield tram stop. If approaching from Deansgate or Whitworth Street West, cross all the tram lines and turn left down the access road. There is a large sign on the wall showing the way. Look for our signs on the raised pavement. Walk across the car park at the end and there is a row of planters showing the entrance to Castlefield Viaduct. Alternatively, if approaching from the Liverpool Road direction, climb the staircase just off Duke Street to arrive at the entrance.
