Two days in Newcastle

Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September 2024

Two full days by the Tyne exploring Newcastle's Modernist sites and sights.

The tour will include:

Access to a preview of the Farrell Centre's exhibition Concrete Dreams.

A trip up to the top of the Civic Centre's tower - where the carillon is situated.

An exploration of the University Campuses and Manors Car Park.

Bus ride to Killingworth where we visit: 

- The former Ryder & Yates office, look around the shopping centre Citadel, including Telephone Exchange, and White Swan Centre. 

- Walk around lake and through housing, including Bob and Thelma’s house from Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads.

- Engineering Research Station by  R&Y on outskirts

Travel and accommodation not included.
