ArchiType/Archive-X

Pop-Up Exhibition

17.05.23 - 03.06.23

ArchiType/Archive-X is a pop-up exhibition opening on Wednesday 17 May that presents work from final year Graphic Design students from Manchester School of Art.
ArchiType invites students to develop a font or typeface system in response to a piece of architecture. This project was supported with on-going input from Riccardo De Franceschi from the internationally renowned type foundry Dalton Maag.

Archive-X asks students to find material and create a pamphlet from an archive of their own choosing. This project was supported with on-going input from Craig Oldham and Di Pajarillaga from Manchester's finest, the Office of Craig.

The exhibition was designed and curated and by Lisa Silva, Calum O'Callaghan and Thomas Steeles.

Both projects are part of the Unit X programme at Manchester School of Art. The students involved are part of this year's final Degree Show that opens on 10 June.
