Born from a collaboration between the modernist and Uhm! Publishing, Commonplace explores the in-between places and small sites that lie beyond the mainstream modernist canon—those commonplaces that deserve a second look.
Published six times a year, Commonplace is a 32-page A5 magazine with an ambition to bring together diverse photographic content united by a shared fascination with uncelebrated modernist spaces
This exhibition features a selection of photographs featured in the first five issues of Commonplace, published between October 2025 and June 2026.

Issue 1: Brighton by Stefano Samà
Issue 2: Blackpool Fronts by Stephen Marland
Issue 3: High Street Banks by Lisa Brown
Issue 4: Flat Roofs and Frothy Pints by Matt Dransfield
