This October, for the third year, the Modernist Book Fair returns to Vitsœ
Mark your calendars for what promises to be an exciting celebration of modernist design and architecture this autumn. Our mini Modernist Book Fair is returning for its third year to the Vitsœ shop in Marylebone on 17th and 18th October 2025, bringing together some fine publishers, designers, and enthusiasts of modernist culture under one beautifully designed roof.
A Perfect Venue for Perfect Design
There's something wonderfully fitting about hosting a modernist book fair at Vitsœ, the legendary furniture company founded on the principles of Dieter Rams' timeless design philosophy. The Marylebone shop, provides the ideal backdrop for celebrating the books that document and preserve our modernist architectural heritage.
Distinguished Publishers and Specialists
This year's fair features an exceptional lineup of publishers and specialists, each bringing their unique perspective to modernist culture:
The Modernist returns as a cornerstone exhibitor, continuing our mission to document and celebrate modernist architecture and design through our magazine as well as beautifully crafted publications.
Stefi Orazi is a designer and the author of the popular blog Modernist Estates along with the book of the same title, as well as her always popular Perambulations walking and cycling guides.
The Twentieth Century Society will showcase their vital work in protecting and promoting Britain's twentieth-century architectural heritage, offering publications that serve both as historical records and calls to action for preservation.
Blue Crow Maps adds a cartographic dimension to the fair, presenting their distinctive approach to mapping modernist landscapes and architectural sites across Britain and beyond.
Nick Hazeltine / Archindustrial records the industrial buildings of the world environment in photography and print.
UHM Publishing brings us photographic zines on Brutalism and more, including spotlight on locations such as: Japan, Rome, Belgrade, Zurich and Skopje.
Space Play rounds out the lineup with their concrete models of many of our favourite Brutalist and Modernist Buildings.
Launch Event & Drinks Reception
Friday 17th October will feature a very special highlight: the launch of the latest issue of the modernist, issue 55, themed "ORDINARY".
The launch event and drinks reception will provide the perfect opportunity to meet contributors and publishers, and discuss the magazine with fellow enthusiasts. The book fair will remain open throughout, giving you the opportunity for some late-night modernist pre-Christmas shopping, from 6.30pm.

The fair is free to attend and runs across both Friday and Saturday, giving you ample opportunity to explore the collections, attend the late opening and launch on Friday and engage in conversations with all our exhibitors.
