Ever wondered what it takes to produce a zine, a magazine or a book? Interested in independent publishing and why people want to focus on modernist architecture? Then this is for you...

Helen Barrett, will host a conversation with the people behind some of the most influential publications promoting modernist architecture in the UK today. 

Helen is a journalist who writes for the FT, the Telegraph, the Spectator, the Critic and other publications on art, design, architecture, fashion, music, travel, books, modern life and popular culture.

From photo-zines and magazines to coffee table tomes, the speakers will share insights on their publishing practice, the aesthetics of modernism, as well as their other activities from campaigning and cycle tours, to opening a shop or noseying around other people's flats.

This is a not for profit event and the ticket price is to cover refreshments. 

This event is part of The Modernist Book Fair taking place at Vitsœ on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd of September as part of London Design Festival 2023.

The book fair which will feature the work of a number of independent publishers who's activity focusses on modernist architecture and design.
